DJD Architects assisted a developer client who purchased a site with extant planning permission for a four bedroom two storey house.
The site benefits from spectacular views across the Cotswolds and we prepared a new design that maximised opportunities to enjoy the view from the house. In addition, by working with the topography of the steeply sloping site, the new design incorporated 5 bedrooms, a study, dining room, living room, large kitchen and breakfast room and integral garage, across 3 storeys.
All of this was achieved without raising the ridge line from that originally proposed and by working closely with the Client and Local Planning Authority.
The house is designed to accommodate modern family living but respecting the local vernacular using traditional materials and detailing.
