DJD Architects have an ambitious programme of training, research and development.
The idea is to stop thinking of training, research and development as separate things, but instead as a way of professional and business development, for the continued improvement of our business and our team.
The programme aims to develop a body of specialist knowledge within the Practice, to improve the way we work so that we are more effective, increase the sharing of knowledge amongst the team, and assist the professional development of individual team members. This enriches our architectural projects bringing additional value for our clients.
Every member of the team will have an agreed number of training, research and development hours for the year within office time. Some of this time will be spent on whole office activities such as technical workshops and internal training sessions, but the majority will be for training, research and development activities proposed by individual team members to their mentor. This allows team members to pursue subjects for which they have a particular interest or affinity, enabling them to develop specialist knowledge.
