Hampden Veterinary Hospital Refurbishment

DJD Architects are pleased to share the completion of the internal alterations and refurbishment of the Hampden Veterinary Hospital in Buckinghamshire. The altered layout accommodates the installation of a new CT scanner whilst also providing an additional consultation room, more kennel space, refurbished waiting area and a new air conditioning system.

DJD were appointed as Architect for RIBA stages 3 and 4 and as CDM Principal Designer. The work involved securing planning permission for the external air conditioning units and working with an approved inspector to gain Building Regulations approval.

DJD Architects worked closely with the veterinary group and hospital to meet their requirements whilst also co-ordinating with the CT scanner supplier to ensure that the large and valuable scanner could be brought into the existing building without complication. The veterinary hospital continued to operate throughout the works and staff are delighted with the end result.
