DJD Architects are pleased to see completion of another a new veterinary surgery project. DJD Architects undertook the technical design and have worked closely with the Contractor and Client throughout the renovation process.
The existing building was a furniture store which had been vacant for some time, had a leaking roof and minimal internal services. The new veterinary surgery features three operating theatres, state of the art x-ray, dental and ultrasound facilities, 6 consultation rooms, animal wards, offices and an apartment for staff.
Through the design process we worked closely with suppliers to overcome the various challenges that come hand in hand when working with an existing building. This included specifying the appropriate passive fire protection measures and co-ordinating closely with the kennel manufacturer to maximise the full potential of the space.
