Outline proposals for new homes in a semi-rural location

DJD Architects have developed indicative proposals for up to 102 new dwellings to be built at Hampton Lovett in Worcestershire to support an outline planning application which has been submitted to Wychavon District Council.

The site sits to the north of Droitwich Spa’s Strategic Gap and addresses the listed St Mary’s church.  The proposals are for a range of home sizes and types to suit the local need in this semi-rural setting with a layout that maximises links with public open space and views of open grazing land.

The form of the development was designed to have a range of traditional village characteristic spaces and is based around a primary road off which lanes and mews courts provide secondary linkages.  Key vistas through the development have been aligned with St Mary and All Saints Church to anchor the new settlement with its historic setting.
