We offer strong support for professional and career development, and a broad range of experience, working on a variety of projects with a particular focus on public and private residential schemes.

Project Architect

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic ARB Registered Architect to join our team as a Project Architect.    Working with the project director you will need to be able to take control of a project, managing the relationship with the client, design team, local authorities and contractors on a day to day basis.  You will need to combine design skills with technical knowledge to be able to work effectively across all stages of a project.

Housing experience is essential as this is a core part of our work.

This a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career and take on greater responsibility and autonomy over projects.  There is the opportunity for future progression within the practice.

Here’s what previous Part 1 Architectural Assistant, Dai Williams, had to say about his experience at DJD:

“I found my time at DJD a real insight into working in the profession so soon after leaving University. I was part of a range of projects in varying capacities with my involvement being built up as time progressed to reflect my development; clients and projects ranged from independent clients to larger schemes for housing associations and private developers. The regular reviews and PEDRs I undertook in the office really helped in assessing my progress through the year and feel that the wide range of tasks across the stages of work, client interaction and project responsibilities left me in good stead at the end of the year in terms of understanding work within a practice and ready for part 2.”
