Grange Court Barn Conversions, Gloucestershire

A range of redundant historic barns, curtilage listed, in Gloucestershire provided the opportunity to develop a group of Home Work Units consisting of high quality living space with B1 office/workshop space attached or within the curtilage.

This allows the residents to work from home, thus minimising commuting, whilst still taking advantage of a rural location.

The rural location of the project also made it suitable for the use of a reed bed filtration system for dealing with foul water. Unusually the project also saw the use of sheep’s wool as insulation, a sustainable material that is also much easier to work with than most alternatives.
