Party Wall Services
DJD Construction Consultants offer Party Wall advice and surveying services, supporting clients where they have responsibilities under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996, or are effected by work undertaken by others.
The Party Wall etc. Act 1996 applies in England and Wales and provides a framework for preventing and resolving disputes in relation to party walls, boundary walls and excavations near neighbouring buildings.
If you are carrying out works described in the Act you must inform adjoining owners by serving a Party Wall Notice. In the event of a dispute with adjoining owners you will be required to agree the appointment of a Party Wall Surveyor.
DJD Construction Consultants can advise you as to your rights and responsibilities under the Act, either as an owner wishing to carry out works or as an adjoining owner who has received a Party Wall Notice. We can also act as a Party Wall Surveyor in drawing up an Award, an agreement between adjoining owners.
Kevin Davis is a member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors. As such the Practice has access to the advice and resources of the Faculty, enabling the team to give you the best advice.
We also provide advice to adjoining owners who have not been served with a Party Wall Notice but have become aware of works affecting a Party Wall they own.

SAP Assessments
SAP is the Government’s Standard Assessment Procedure for assessing the carbon emissions and thermal performance of new dwellings, as required in the Building Regulations Approved Document L. The outcome of the assessment is a rating recorded on an Energy Performance Certificate, known as an EPC.
DJD Construction Consultants have accredited On Construction Domestic Energy Assessors able to undertake SAP assessments and produce EPCs for new build homes. Our accreditation is given by Elmhurst Energy who provide training and software, and we adhere to their quality assurance processes, submitting regular compliance audits.
