Fortis Awards 2016

DJD Architects are proud to have sponsored the Group Community Project Award at this year’s Fortis Awards.

The award for Group Community Project recognises the outstanding contribution communities have made in their local neighbourhood in the last 12 months.

Congratulations to Big Pickersleigh Project who were presented with the award by Kevin Davis, Director of DJD Architects, at the awards ceremony on Tuesday 29th November, hosted by Satnam Rana of BBC Midlands Today at the Worcester Arena.

These are the third annual Fortis Awards, organised by Fortis Living to celebrate the outstanding contributions which unsung heroes are making in the communities where they live.

The shortlisted nominees were:

Aspie Avengers FC

The team trains weekly at King George V playing fields and now competes in the Three Counties Ability Counts League.

Big Pickersleigh Project

The project helps tackle anti-social behaviour; improve the quality of the physical environment; improve access to local public services and leisure facilities; assist people to find jobs and housing; and empowers the local community.

Youth On Board
A team of young people aged 18 to 24 constitute the Fortis Living Youth Board, working to help improve services offered by Fortis Living for young people and championing the voice of younger people in their local communities.
