Services in Affordable Housing

The specific requirements placed on affordable homes present an additional level of complexity to open-market housing. DJD Architects have a long history of designing affordable homes to the requirements of HQI standards and the Code for Sustainable Homes, and are accustomed to the design criteria. In demonstration of this, DJD Architects were among the first to have standard house types registered with the Housing Corporation as being compliant.

Our experience in this field, and understanding of the different pressures on providers of affordable housing mean that we are able to focus on design quality whilst still ensuring compliance with agreed funding requirements.

HQI and CfSH assessment can be provided by sister company DJD Construction Consultants, having this knowledge embedded within the office also increases the speed with which queries can be resolved and design work progressed.

We have worked with a number of housing associations throughout the region, and are at present a member of the Spectrum Framework in the West Midlands.
